Small Business Identity Theft Protection – One Step You May Be Missing
0Over $8 billion dollars was stolen from small businesses through identity theft in 2008 according to Javelin Strategy & Research of Pleasanton, California. Small business identity theft continues to outpace individual identity theft by a rate of 4.1 percent in 2010, compared to 3.5 percent for consumers..
Small businesses are suffering because thieves know they don’t have resources including time and money to put up a strong defense to protect their information against a data breach. Thieves have developed sophisticated techniques to steal private information from the smallest businesses to largest corporations.
Michael Barnett of the Identity Theft Protection Association states small business identity theft is a growing problem. “Thieves have discovered that businesses have fewer legal protections.” Cybercrime and identity theft is a far more likely loss for businesses than fires or floods.
Most of the time businesses will never retrieve their losses because businesses have less fraud protection and a shorter reporting time, a business is not a “person” or “victim” so state and federal laws treat a business differently, business transactions on personal cards are excluded from “zero liability,” and personal identity theft services and insurance are excluded from businesses.
For most owners their personal and business information are closely tied together, so, a data breach can severely impact both the owner and his business. Just one serious incident could take a small business out. It is important for every business to maintain a vigilant effort to protect their personal and business information.
There are many things a small business should do to protect it’s information including monitoring banking account and credit card balances on a daily basis, check billing statements when they come in, conduct a regular credit check with the credit agencies and Dun and Bradstreet and regularly change passwords used to log into areas where private information is stored. Employees should be trained on what can and cannot be shared with individuals outside of the organization and strict rules must be in place to limit the chances of a theft happening.
There’s one more small business identity theft protection step most businesses miss and it could cost the business dearly
One of the schemes thieves use is information from business registrations with state governments. Most states are “Good Faith Filing” states, which means the information filed about a business with the Secretary of State is simply accepted and recorded at face value. For $10 to $15 in most states, thieves can easily file a change of business address, change of officers, directors or registered agent, or even reinstate a previously dissolved company. They may also register a company as a foreign company operating in a different state as their target company.
By manipulating state business records in this manner, thieves can obtain the standing and verifiable business records needed to deceive creditors and finance institutions, or conduct any number of fraudulent transactions in the business name.
One step many businesses may be missing to prevent small business identity theft is to monitor their state business registration information. There are three things every business owner can do, that won’t take a lot of time, to prevent or limit the impact of fraudulent state business registrations and identity theft:
1. Enroll in Email Alerts – Check to see whether your Secretary of State or Corporations Division business registration website offers free email alert services that can notify the owner of the business when his business registration information has been changed or updated. This information includes: name, address, registered agent, and business owner information. Enrolling in such a service can provide early warning of potential small business identity theft.
2. Regularly review your business registration information online – If your Secretary of State or Corporation Division doesn’t offer email alerts, you can go to their website and use the public “Business Entity Search” to enter your business and review the information on file for your business. You should also periodically check any past businesses that you have closed, to ensure that they have not be reinstated.
3. Be certain to file your annual reports and renewals in a timely manner.
Small business identity theft is the new target for identity thieves. Identity thieves feel pretty secure since only one in 700 ever get caught. So, when you compare the risk against the reward most of us can see why criminals have turned to small business identity theft.
The challenge for every business, small or large, is to implement safeguards to protect against breach before it happens.

Effective Tips to Generate Local Attention for Small Business
0With countless companies starting and shutting down it can be difficult to learn useful tips that can effectively generate attention for small business. Starting a company can be hard enough as it is so you will want to gain as much exposure as possible to avoid wasting your money and efforts. Whether you have been a business owner for many years or are just beginning your venture now, knowing as much as possible will help you increase exposure for small business.
Make Good Use of Social Media
If you have any intentions at all for expanding your company and find new leads for small business then it is pertinent that you make good use of the social media options available. There are many different platforms that offer various levels of exposure. For example, having a company page for your fans on Facebook is a great way for customers to leave feedback and also spread the good word about their experiences.
The best part is that many social networking sites offer free accounts which mean free exposure. To effectively generate attention for small business you will need to put your company name and information out on the internet where potential customers can find you. According to various research reports, business owners agree that social media has allowed them to efficiently generate leads for small business without the high costs traditionally involved with advertising.
Look for Experts to Generate Leads
Having more leads for small business is another area of extreme importance. It can be futile to improve your products and services if no one will know about it. Your efforts should be consistently focused on the best ways to generate attention for small business. For many business owners, finding relevant leads can be the most trying part. If you are stuck in a rut and have no ideas about where to begin then consider finding an expert for guidance.
Marketing experts know how important leads for small business are for success and have the inside knowledge about how the internet works. If you are busy doing countless other things for your business then you will not likely have enough time to focus on increasing your leads. There can be a significant difference if you take advantage of tools like email list building or forums related to your industry. Hiring a professional may seem like an additional expense on top of many others but this small investment result in added exposure for small business.
Learn about Outsourcing Benefits
Since online marketing and lead generation can be quite a time drain in general, outsourcing such tasks can be a great way to get the job done well. Especially if you have no prior background or experience on how to generate attention for small business, you can profit from consulting with an expert for help. Social media for example, is a popular and effective way to advertise but many small business owners are not internet savvy and simply do not have the time.
Outsourcing has become much more popular over the years for two simple reasons. If you are the owner of a company then your time is likely more valuable than that which you would pay to someone else. While you are doing important duties for your business, find someone to outsource to so they can handle work that is time-consuming or challenging. Another beneficial reason to outsource your marketing needs is because professionals have the complete know-how on how to increase exposure for small business.
Evaluate Your Business’ Image
Whenever you are taking steps and action to generate attention for small business, be sure that you are in tune with what image is being presented. Although most business owners do not have much spare time, this evaluation is necessary to guarantee that the right message is being expressed on either your company’s website or social media page. If you do not check what exposure for small business you are paying for then you could end up doing more damage than good.
Another reason why you should review what image your company represents is that you will want your marketing strategy to change as your products, services, and progress improves. It is reasonable that many small business pages do not look as professional as corporations but as your business expands, you will need to upgrade how you present your company. Overall, you want to make sure that if you generate attention for small business, it should be in sync with the image you want.

Why Every Small Business Needs A Website
0It’s safe to say that we live in a world where it’s assumed that pretty much anything can be found online. Whether it’s to figure out where you’ve seen a familiar looking actor in a movie, check out the menu of a new restaurant you’re going to or just to find out general information about a company, most of us turn to the web. Let’s face it, many people don’t even a copy of the Yellow Pages anymore and the ones that do aren’t running to find it when they need to find out about a business. These days when someone is looking for something or more like looking for you and your business, they go online.
So does this mean all businesses should absolutely have a website? Yes, whether you own a business, work for yourself in any capacity or provide paid services to the public in some shape or form, you need to have a website.
Common misconceptions determining if a business needs a website
First off, the size of your company doesn’t matter. Regardless if you’re a one-man show or a have hundreds of employees, size truly has no bearing when it comes to the benefits of getting your business online. Many small business owners often think that since majority of their business comes from local clientele, having a website isn’t really necessary. Some of these small, local businesses have been in business for a very long time and have been doing extremely well without a website. In many cases that’s absolutely true and I can’t fault them for thinking that way, but I can only imagine how much even better they could be doing if they actually did have a website.
Another prevailing thought is that it doesn’t make much sense to have a website if your business isn’t actually selling something online. Whether you have an actual tangible product that you plan on selling online or not is irrelevant. These are all huge misconceptions because the bottom line is that it comes down to exposure. Developing a website for your business is the easiest, most efficient and affordable way to get your name out there. Let’s take a look at how having a website for even the smallest business can be beneficial.
Benefits of having a website for your business
For any business, staying relevant among today’s tech-savvy consumers is paramount. Not only does a website help promote your business but it serves as a means for you to be found by customers. Once you have a website you immediately stop being invisible to all the potential customers trying to find you online. And whether you know it or not, being invisible as a business in this on-demand, information age is costing you money.
Here are some key benefits to having a website for your small business:
You create another marketing tool.
Do you have a business card for your company? Obviously that’s a no brainer, of course you do. Just like how you would make sure you get business cards made for your company, creating a website should also be an obvious must-have. A website will be one of your most powerful sales and communication tools for your company, allowing potential clients to quickly and easily find out more about the products and services you have to offer. Think of a website as a brochure for your company that is constantly kept up to date and always available to anyone and everyone.
You create a place for information and communication.
Besides being a sales vehicle, a website is your company’s home turf so to speak for everything having to do with your business. It’s the primary place where people will go for trusted information about your business, to voice concerns and have their questions answered. Whether it’s your current customers, the ones you hope to attract, potential employees or even business partners, a website is your business’s greatest communication tool. Even if it’s two o’clock in the morning, if someone wants to know something about your business, they will look for answers, and your website will be the place they go. Also, any information about your business read directly from your own website is valued more as opposed to information ascertained about it from somewhere else like another website.
You add legitimacy to your business.
Having a website automatically creates legitimacy and validates your business in the mind of clients. To the public this creates confidence that you’re a real, functioning company that is currently doing business. Conversely, if someone looks for your business online and sees you don’t have a website their confidence in your business will wane to say the least. This might imply to the average web user, that you’re not a serious business, can’t afford a website or that your company is old-fashioned.
Allows you to keep up and stay ahead with your competition.
If you’re a small business and you’re competing with other small businesses in your local area, many of them might be in the same boat as you and don’t have a website. That’s all the more reason for you to get one and stay a step ahead. But if any of your competitors do have a website and you don’t, you’re losing business to them plain and simple.
Having a website though can help level the playing field between your business and with the bigger companies that you normally wouldn’t be able to compete with. One of the nice things about the internet is that a potential customer can just as easily find your small business’s website as it can with a website belonging to a huge national chain. Imagine you’re a local hardware business that is a few miles away from a Home Depot. Now, if a local customer searches online where in the area they could purchase a certain home improvement product, wouldn’t you like your chances that they might stumble on your business if you had a website?
Best bang for your buck advertising tool.
A website provides more exposure for your money than any other form of advertising. For the average small business owner, the cost of a local radio or television commercial is just not affordable unless it is aired when vast majority of the targeted audience is sleeping. Local newspaper ads can be reasonably priced, but doesn’t have the reach or impact they once did. Print news is an industry that’s been on the decline since most people are getting their news for free online. With a website, there are no space constraints in detailing and marketing your products, and you are able to interact and truly engage with your customers something that really can’t be done with these other forms of advertising. Also in terms of cost, after the initial investment to design and build the site, the annual expense for hosting and maintenance is a fraction of the outlay many small businesses throw at local advertising throughout the year.
Conclusion
So after all that, does it still mean every website should have a website? And the answer is still yes! But it doesn’t mean that it has to be an expensive undertaking. A website doesn’t need to be big, highly technical, or break the bank in order for it to benefit your company. Even the simplest website that is professionally designed and contains well thought out content can easily benefit any business. But before you can even think about designing your site, you have to take the first step, which is realizing that your business does in fact need one.

The Process of Setting Goals Is Crucial to Small Business Success
0It rarely happens that a person stumbles across the perfect life or lifestyle they dream of. Lifestyle is defined by and measured via just a few common things: Relationships, time freedom, financial freedom, options and opportunity. The quality and availability of these is a great measure for what most refer to as “lifestyle”.
Like any other goal, a lifestyle goal is critical to achieving or building the life you truly want. Taking experiences as they come living by the seat of your britches is great, for a time. I thoroughly enjoyed it for several years from the age of 19 to 23. It does, or at least it did for me, lose it’s sense of zeal and fulfillment at some point.
In my experience most trade some of the elements for their most desired life for a guarantee of acquiring them in the future. This could take the form of buying into the idea and plan of retirement, or deciding to work at a current relationship, understanding that is required to actually experience the relationship you want. Trade offs are O.K. and they are a part of achieving most anything in my experience. I think it’s critical to be aware of what it is your trading off and why. Decisions create commitment and lead to less frustration and resentment, know why you’re doing what you are doing. Always know why.
I have a friend who is a Principal at a school. She has chosen to take part in the retirement path to a lifestyle she would like to have. She seems love what she does at a very deep level. While she doesn’t like every part of it, it is very clear to me that God created her with the want to make a difference and she does. She also knows that it’s not about making everybody happy, or having everyone like her. She is clearly working from a place of purpose and differences she’s made couldn’t possibly be measured. For some, maybe her, the end goal of the security and time freedom that comes with a retirement plan can almost fade from awareness as a love for being a part of something important and working from passion takes precedence.
Like many other professionals she also has a hankering for being an entrepreneur, and most of the ideas I’ve heard from her carry the same common thread of making a difference. Because she followed a smart plan, she may well get to experience entrepreneurship, and I think she’ll love it.
I don’t write about goals often, but to leave them out when you’re talking about entrepreneurship and small business is probably worse than not talking about small business funding. In my experience setting smart goals is the most powerful skill, yes skill, in small business. If you want to go somewhere in business or in life, goals are the way you’ll get there.
One way to think of goals is to think of them like a destination on a Map. Think of Chicago as where you are and think of California as where you want to go, those are destinations, starting points and ending points. In business I often think about where I’m at in terms of gross sales or amount of purchase per customer, that’s like Chicago. Then I think of where I’d like to be with those figures in terms of my over all goal for the business, which I always clearly define what they mean to me personally in my lifestyle and what they will do for my family.
Once you have a goal worthy of your time and attention, one that motivates you, you’re ready to develop a plan.
Plans are the roads or actions that you’ll take along the way. You don’t need a perfect plan to reach your goals, there will be detours. There are hundreds of ways to get to California, just driving! You could fly, take a rail car, even a hot air balloon, right? But the point is, you won’t get there unless you decide on a plan, and you won’t reach a goal if you don’t decide on a plan either. Unless of course it’s a small goal with little meaning or you get lucky.
Setting and achieving small business goals is critical to your success in business. When you set your small business goals keep these three things in mind:
1. Are they measurable? Can you clearly tell when or if you’ve actually reached the goal?
2. Do they show your personal goals and resonate with what you want your life to look like?
3. Does the goal cause you to step outside your comfort zone or try something new to reach it?
These are simple ideas but they are a good indicator of a smart small business goal. Most successful small businesses got they way by setting and achieving goals. Growth and “success” can sometimes be achieved almost by accident just keeping up with demand or stumbling across an under served market. It will feel like playing damage control and a lot of small businesses experience this at some time. These periods of growth and success will almost always be short-lived. If you want to achieve sustained success come up with ideas and goals that are relevant to you customer or client and are congruent with the three tips we just mentioned.
One of the reasons so many people are choosing to start a home based business is because they feel a strong pull to be with their families more and have more control over how they spend their time. This is a good example of a goal that resonates with your personal goals and directly impacts what your life will look like. Starting any business is one goal that will force many of us out of our comfort zone, just know what you’re intending to achieve before you do it. In order to experience success you need to define it. You can always change you definition later, and you likely will.
Goal setting is way to traceable progress and leaves a path that you can analysed should you find yourself off course. Building a business in a point A to point B, organized way is productive way to reach your overall small business goals. When you’re looking at a map of a journey you are about to undertake there are essentially two critical points, where you are and where you want to go. Start your small business goals with confrontational honesty about where you really are, in other words, look at your current reality and let that shape plan.

How to Get the Best Small Business Bank Account for Your Company
0There are several factors to consider before choosing a business bank account. Company size, location, and business plan are all important elements that affect the type of business account an owner should choose; these factors should be taken under serious advisement while making such an important business decision. There are several things that a business account should entail and the best business bank accounts encompass all of the following attributes.
Define and Explore Your Needs
Before choosing a financial institution, consider the reasons you need a business bank account in the first place. If you are interested in specialized services, research banks in your region that offers these services. Be prepared to perform online and in-person investigations; often times, online information only covers surface information and cannot answer pertinent questions you may have. Never assume something that isn’t clearly stated; don’t be afraid to ask for concrete answers to your business banking questions. Credible financial institutions won’t have any problems calming your nerves and satisfying your financial inquiries.
If you hadn’t considered this before, search for a bank with a financial adviser. Many financial institutions offer these services as an added perk; benefits can include aide and guidance in future investments and professional help to manage cash flow.
Compare Features to Find the Best Small Business Bank Account
Once you have firmly established what you are searching for in a bank, comparing and contrasting the financial institutions in your area is a relatively simple task. Don’t forget that once you’ve narrowed down your options, you can always call to request more specific information or to schedule a meeting to review information and address particular concerns you may still have.
Keep in mind the importance of availability and account services. A bank that offers great incentives but lacks a local branch doesn’t do much good if you prefer a face-to-face interaction. On the other hand, nationwide banks that offer online banking but lack your required account services will likewise do you no good. Determine the type of banking system you will prefer and find one that suits your small business account needs.
As you draw closer to choosing a financial institution, remember to focus on fees and service charges. In most banks, fees for business accounts are significantly higher than those for private accounts, even going so far as to charge businesses for online banking services but not charging individuals. Beware that universal truths pertaining to personal bank accounts do not hold true in the business account realm.
Bank Size Does Matter
At some point in the life of a small business, it is highly probable that the company will need to borrow money. Since the decline in the market, many banks are making it more and more difficult to get credit. Surprisingly, many small business owners have turned to community and small banks to get the loans they require. Small banks are more likely than world institutions to issue loans to indigenous businesses because it strengthens the local economy and supports the community. These minor institutions tend to meet a small business’s financial needs on a more personal field and provide a level of support that “outside” banks cannot.
Once you have evaluated each of these steps and determined what services and values best fit your financial needs, it is as simple as a visit or the click of a mouse to get the best small business bank account for your company.

A Write Up on Website Development for Small Business
0Small business website development is the real key to the success of small and medium business enterprises that crowd the web world today. The companies do not have the resources to go in for sophisticated, high-end, fully software-loaded websites that big Corporates and business conglomerates indulge in usually. SMEs have to confine their websites within the frameworks of their budget and objectives. There is no money to splurge on fancy websites. Here the purpose of the website is to declare a web presence and also to promote the marketing activities of the companies, utilizing the potential of the internet world. Customer friendliness is the watchword here. Small business website has to increasingly depend on Customer service which is increasingly seen as one of the most valuable uses for a business website. The website should be available on a 24 hour, seven days a week basis.
The basic rule for small business website is that every page of the website should be written from the visitor’s point of view and not from that of the web promoter. The ten fundamental rules for effective small business website development are:
1. Always Be accessible. Show very clearly on your site all the ways that your customer can contact you – including e-mail, phone and fax numbers, and your office hours.
2. Return every e-mail or phone call in the same day, as far as reasonably possible. This may sound simplistic, but a recent experiment with the top Fortune 100 companies showed that nearly a third failed to respond to e-mail sent through their website within one month!
3. Acknowledge all orders. Send e-mail confirmations (this can be done very effectively with autoresponders), and if you’re shipping actual products, give tracking numbers and expected delivery dates.
4. Provide a clear return policy, honour it and learn from it. This may give you more information about what’s working and what’s not.
5. Expect more phone calls. If your Web site traffic and response rates grow (which is, of course, what we want), so will the volume of phone calls, whatever your business or industry.
Regardless of the site quality, clear returns and privacy policies, secure servers, etc., people still require human interaction.
6. Keep the loading time of your webpage to the minimum.
7. Cut down on graphics and action movies and increase the response time of the website so that the client can quickly access all the pages he wants.
8. Search engine optimisation is a must if the website is to be brought during searches.
9. Put effective yet limited banner-ads and logos on the website. They all take time to load.
10. Put content that guide the client easily and lucidly through steps till confirming the order.
Small business web development must offer custom web development for small business websites which should ideally include complete ecommerce solutions and other such current tools. Small business website development keeps its focus on the development of affordable yet professionally designed websites for the use of the small business community. The constraints of budget, time and purpose must dictate such development without compromising on quality. Such optimal design and development are possible taking into account the fast development in technology and concepts of web development.
The small business segment in the world internet economy, mainly cater to marketing of products and services. They enter the web world with minimal investment and maximum expectations. They look to derive maximum benefits out of this ethereal web world. With the present stage of development, these expectations are not beyond the realms of reality. On the contrary, they are realistic and down to earth. The cost of domain registration web hosting, web design and development etc have all come down sharply following the widespread of use of the internet and internet technology. There are thousands of web development companies that offer packaged website development specifically designed for small business sector. No great fancy stuff here. Just the basic things- HTML-Flash-minimum graphics and effective content The key area to be ensured is the reliability of the web hosting service provider and the continuous availability of the website to the clients.
Small website development can be termed successful if they achieve these basic standards. Small clients who own these websites can rest assured that they have not exceeded their budget, means and at the same time that they have boosted their revenue earning potential, thereby adding substantially to their bottom line. Professional yet affordable websites development has become the order of the day. Who want to pump in thousands of dollars into developing a monolith of a website which no one would want to browse for fear of interminable loading time and cumbersome, interfering pages and pop-ups?
Certainly many successful small business websites owe their very existence to the discretion and maturity shown in selecting the appropriate model for websites and deploying content and technology in tune with their business objectives. Small business companies should taking care in finalising the right professional web developer who is well-versed with the requirements of the entrepreneur and the limitations of resources. Ideally small business website development should concentrate on and ensure that:
1. Website should offer all basic needs- dynamic web pages, optimal animation and graphics and realistic content.
2. Website should have minimum lead time between crashes and resumptions.
3. Websites should be able to offer 24hour support.
4. Good software and website maintenance agreements should be available.
5. Good feedback and contact arrangements with order and delivery tracking services.
This should put a small business website in a high orbit with no chance of coming down in a hurry. Small website development is all about, sense of direction and awareness of its’ limitations. This professional approach should make the small business website eminently economical and small business website development worthy of the great efforts put in.

Small Business Hosting
0Small business hosting can assist you in growing your business online. If you are hosting a business site online then you need to ensure that you obtain everything you need to run your site as smoothly and efficiently as possible. A hosting company can provide you with all of the necessary features and support to do so.
When you begin using small business hosting you will usually purchase a smaller amount of web space and a limited amount of bandwidth. It is up to you to choose how much you need but it is always best to limit yourself to how much you need or you might end up spending money on bandwidth that you won’t be using.
Hosting packages will usually allow you to access certain web site building tools so that you can get your site up and running. Once you have built your site you can then make use of the control panel that is offered to you in order to manage and maintain your site.
Business owners usually do not want to waste their time trying to figure out how to maintain their site when they could be out looking for more customers. Smaller hosting packages makes this easier by providing a website owner with everything that he or she will need to set up and maintain the site within minutes.
Business owners usually need to include certain features in their site in order to have it run as smoothly as possible. Features such as shopping carts and payment links can be added to the site by small business hosting so that the owner can deal with the customers that visit the site and build his or her business.
Small businesses often don’t need all the extra features and hassle of managing their own server for their hosting needs. This is why small business hosting is a sensible option, where people who run small businesses can gain support from professionals who are used to regularly dealing with small business needs.
Choosing the right hosting company is an important aspect of a successful online business. Not only should the company make it easy for you to set up the site but the company should also ensure that you have everything you need to have the site run as efficiently and as smoothly as possible. Don’t feel you have to purchase without talking to someone, if required, do call the hosting company to address any concerns you have before making a purchase.

Best Forex Trading Time – Taking a Time-Out to Understand Forex Trading!
0Keep in mind that the Forex market is open 24 hours a day, every day, every week, and only closed on weekends. This means that it is one of the most accessible markets out there today. It means your potential earnings chances are high as it is only closed for roughly a 48 hour period. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to begin trading and the most you really need is a piece of software that can automate the process, or a forex robot.
When you get your mind into forex trading, you need to be careful of the information and advice you receive. Certain websites and groups may try to lead you into buying their software or robot based on the fact that it can make you millions over night, or promising you that they have uncovered a secret and can make you thousands an hour. These kinds of high end claims are designed solely to take advantage of the uninformed new traders.
A big key towards maximizing your earnings, is taking advantage of multiple worldwide markets being open at one time. One of the best time periods to trade in happens to be 8pm EST until 11AM EST. This 15 hour window capitalizes on many active markets and allows for the widest array of trading activity to be capitalized upon. The above time is only a suggestion, and trading can be done whenever you have the most time to trade. It is very flexible and fits your lifestyle however you want it to!
Major focal cities in the Forex markets are namely Japan, London and New York. There are many, many markets worldwide but these are the high end major markets.
When beginning in Forex market trading, you need very little start up investment. If you start with as low as a few hundred dollars, and a bit of patience, you will find you can grow your initial seed money up and nurture it into a larger amount and allowing you to trade in large quantities. You just need to be patient and not get greedy.
Final Thoughts:
While it is confusing as to the best way to really get into Forex trading, and maximize the earnings potentials by capitalizing on the hours that have multiple markets open, you just need to research, use some common sense, and take advantage of all the resources out there at your disposal. Trading during specific sets of hours may maximize your potential earnings, but may not be ideal to your situation and you may not feel comfortable automating the process, and if that is the case, then just do it when you have the time.
